Walt Disney or Bust

Yesterday Tim and I met up with our friend Amy from high school. She lives about 15 minutes away from my parents. Logie stayed with Grandma and Grandpa and we went to Walt Disney World. We spent over 12 hours walking around and needless to say we were exhausted by the end of the trip!

Florida

How awful is this...I am in Florida for Spring Break and I am blogging. We came in because it is so hot outside and I have pics. The plane ride went pretty well. It was full, so Logie had to sit on my lap. He tried to play for about an hour and then fell asleep.

I am at the library, once again because I wanted to post Logan's 1 year pics. We did them at the picture people today and they came out awesome!!! One problem, I left the disc I put them on at home! I guess I will post them tomorrow.

Sitting at the library

So the second day of spring break and I am sitting at the library! I have spent the past 24 hours cleaning like a mad lady. While I am out yesterday afternoon I get a call, we have a showing on our house today! Awesome, yes, but that means my house looks awful and I have to do something about it. I was planning on cleaning before we leave for Florida on Wednesday, but I thought I had time to go slow....nope.

The one thing I found out.....it is really hard cleaning with a 1 year old!

Baby Reece

I was pretty upset on Friday. I was supposed to go see little Reece, but Logan was sick. I definitely did not want to get her sick. So we are going this Friday. In the meantime, Meaghan sent me pics of her little angel. The cute clothes definitely make me want a little girl for Logan to play with!

Pictures

We tried to do pictures for Logan's first birthday yesterday at the picture people. We started to take them and they were coming out horrible and he was just as bad. The poor little guy just still doesn't feel himself. So, I gave up. Then while waiting for Julie and Joan to get to the mall. I saw the Easter bunny! With such a short line I thought it would be a good time to get them done.

At first he was sitting and the picture came out o.k. He wasn't himself, but it wasn't bad. Then he looks up and back at the bunny and this is what happened! What a difference 3 months in age makes....santa he loved , bunny not so much!

(It is a little blurry because I am at school at we dont have a scanner, so I took a picture of a picture!)

Thank you Karla from making such a beautiful quilt for Logan. Julie's mom made a quilt for Logie's first birthday. I made the little piece of crosstitch, but I definitely not gifted in the sewing department!

One!

I can not believe it. My son is actually one year old! He turned a year old on Friday. We were supposed to get shots that day, but because he has such a bad cold we ended up just having a doctor's visit! Poor little guy was sick on his birthday...but he had a ball playing in the doctor's office. His little feet were black from the floor, but you can only wait so long while mommy is holding you!

He weighed 24 lbs. 5 ounces (which is in the 75th percentile) and is 31 inches long (which is in the 90th percentile) Where is he getting this height from?!

Full Time

Hi everyone! Pass this along to people you know would be interested. I am looking for a full time babysitter/nanny for next school year. It would be 5 days a week (possibly 4) from 7-3:30. It could be in their home or in mine. I am trying to find someone now so that I have time to get to know them and so does logan!

Reece Olivia

Yeah!!!!! My roomate from college had her baby girl on Sunday morning! She had a rough time, but mommy and baby are doing good. Reece Olivia was born at 10:32, weighed 6 lbs. 6 oz, and was 20 inches long.

We must be too similar......both of our kids have birthday's within 5 days of each other. Logie was born at 10:39, Reece at 10:32, and they were both 20 inches long!

This is the closest I can get to a niece for a while!

Great Weekend!

Well, Saturday was so busy. We had to get the outside of our house ready to be shown. Two people stopped by and asked us about it! We spent nearly 8 hours picking up sticks and shoveling mud and cleaning our garage. Hopefully it sells. We are going on Saturday to look at 2 beautiful houses that I love already without seeing.

On Sunday Logan was dedicated at Church and my mom and dad were there!!! We knew they would be in town, so timing was perfect. Mom and I spent the day shopping yesterday and they loved seeing Logan. They leave tomorrow :(

It's Official

The realtor came last night and today our house is officially on the market. You may ask why our sign is sitting against a tree? Thanks to good old Indiana weather our ground is frozen and the sign won't stick in the ground and me being so anxious, I wanted it outside somehow! Hopefully we'll start getting calls.

Walk/Run

Yesterday it was so beautiful out that after my workout video I got Logan all bundled up and we went for a jog. It was so nice! He was laughing half the time and cried when I took him out of the stroller. I can't wait for beautiful weather!!!!

Selling

I guess I should've posted this too. We are selling our house so that I can be closer to work. Now that I am officially going to be full time next year the drive is kinda long. Especially with the price of gas. We weren't going to list until April/May, but our neighbor is selling his, so we want to capitalize on that. Wish us luck! We are looking to move Cedar Lake/Lowell/Crown Point area.

Next

After Logie got into the bathroom I put him in the living room with the gate up so I could get some work done. He stood up by the gate and started shaking it....which is normal. All of a sudden he is screaming and I come running. He looked like he fell down, no big deal. A few minutes go by and I look at his shirt and it has red all over it......I look at his face and the bottom of his chin is missing a chunk! Then I feel really bad, because I didn't notice. Logan got his first bandage because mommy couldn't get it to stop without getting it all over everything.

After our shirt change Logan decided to try and get the bandaid off.....with no success.

Mess!

This morning while I was getting ready Logan wanted to make it as hard as possible! First he got into the toilet paper and then he was attempting to get into the toilet and garbage. He even pulled the toilet paper out into the hall. (Normally the door is shut, but I was cleaning for the appraiser to come look at the house).

Words Women Use (Advice For Men)

“Fine” This is the word women use to end an argument when they are right and you need to shut up!


“Five Minutes” If she is getting dressed, this is half an hour. Five minutes is only five minutes if you have just been given five more minutes to watch the game before helping around the house!


“Nothing” This is the calm before the storm. This means “something” and you should be on your toes. Arguments that begin with “nothing” usually end up with “fine”!


“Go Ahead” This is a dare, not permission. DON’T DO IT!


Loud Sigh Although not actually a word, the loud sigh is often misunderstood by men. A “loud sigh” means she thinks you are an idiot and wonders why she is wasting her time standing there arguing with you over “nothing”!


“That’s Okay” This is one of the most dangerous statements that a woman can make to a man. “That’s Okay” means that she wants to think long and hard before deciding how and when you will pay for your mistake.


“Thanks” This is the least used of all words in the female vocabulary. If a woman is thanking you, do not question it, just say you’re welcome and BACK OUT OF THE ROOM SLOWLY!

Food Mess!

Logan had spaghetti last night and not only devoured it, but made a mess as well! Can you tell he got a really good haircut?!

Logan decided he wants to destroy my house, every last chance he gets. He pulled every video and dvd out and spread them out around the living room, then decided he was bored!

Naked Baby!

My little boy loves the tub and mommy was having fun spiking his hair before his haircut! I tried to make sure nothing was showing...for his sake! I love the little butt with rolls!!!
