How Cool!

I think it is amazing that even though I am only 14 weeks pregnant, that I have a little person growing in me! I would have thought the second time around wouldn't have been so exciting, but it still amazes me.
Every week baby center sends me what the baby can do now: Baby girl or boy Wilson has come quite far!

This week's big developments: Your baby can now squint, frown, grimace, pee, and possibly suck his thumb! Thanks to brain impulses, his facial muscles are getting a workout as his tiny features form one expression after another. His kidneys are producing urine, which he releases into the amniotic fluid around him — a process he'll keep up until birth. He can grasp, too, and if you're having an ultrasound now, you may even catch him sucking his thumb.

In other news: Your baby's stretching out. From head to bottom, he measures 3 1/2 inches — about the size of a lemon — and he weighs 1 1/2 ounces. His body's growing faster than his head, which now sits upon a more distinct neck. By the end of this week, his arms will have grown to a length that's in proportion to the rest of his body. (His legs still have some lengthening to do.) He's starting to develop an ultra-fine, downy covering of hair, called lanugo, all over his body. Your baby's liver starts making bile this week — a sign that it's doing its job right — and his spleen starts helping in the production of red blood cells. Though you can't feel his tiny punches and kicks yet, your little pugilist's hands and feet (which now measure about 1/2 inch long) are more flexible and active.

This IS NOT Baby Wilson, but I thought it was neat to see how big our little one is getting. They send this pic weekly as well to show changes.

Funny Comic!

I had a friend e-mail me this to me and I thought it was funny! I'm not a fan of the show, but who doesn't love a disney princess!

Long Weekend....

This past weekend Logan started to get a cold in his eye. At first, no big deal. But the longer the weekend went on, the worse it got. My poor baby ended up looking like he had been punched in both eyes. Fortunately after getting medicine for them, he is on the way back to looking like my Logie!! Here is a pic I tried to take of him with his one eye looking awful. The little guy was still all smiles.

Looking for Answers

I took Logan to the pediatrician for an unrelated issue, and asked her about Logan's lack of speaking. Actually lack of English speaking. He says a few words, but other than that he speaks only Chinese ( at least that is what it sounds like). He talks all the time, but no real words. He understands everything we ask him to do. If we tell him to go get his shoes, get in his chair, get his blankie, etc, he does it immediately. He also points at things when he is speaking. My pediatrician wants me to take him to a speech therapist, but I know my sister didn't talk until she was three! What does everyone think? I know boys are normally slower, and I know he understands. Can you let me know your opinion....being my first, I am stuck. You can e-mail me or just comment. Please be honest Thanks!

Christmas a Little Late

One of the things Logan got from Grandma and Grandpa was an art table. He absolutely loves to draw/color. He had so much new stuff, that I waited to take this one out of the box. I just gave him the magnets so far and he loved it! He kept moving his little chair and adjusting it, he sat there forever.

Post

I haven't been blogging in a while and don't have many new pics, so I thought I would share one of the few new ones I have!

Logan's Train

Logan absolutely loves playing with his train from Christmas, just not on the track! He was playing in the kitchen while I was making dinner and he was really quiet, here is what I found....

He thought he needed cargo, so dog food would work!

Christmas Morning

For some reason I don't have a variety of Christmas morning pictures (and I even got a new camera for Christmas!). I think we were having too much fun!

Logan got all new big boy bedding for his new bed (That he is not in yet!)

A new art play area!

Merry Christmas! Logan got the whole GeoTrax train and he was so excited, walking around with parts of it in the plastic!

Christmas Eve

We had Christmas Eve at Mom and Dad's. Logan had a blast opening his presents and helping everyone else rip their paper off. Here are just a few pics.

As Always, Logan was our little ham. I had him wear this outfit (even it was huge!) because this was the same outfit Graham and Austin had on for their second Christmas.

We could not get Logie to look for pics.
