8 months....a little late

Well, I finally took Logan's 8 month pictures. Even if I am a little late this time. He was not as cooperative as normal, I guess the crawling may have something to do with it! I don't normally take this many pictures, but as you can see I never really got a good picture. I guess that's what happens as they grow! He finally gave up and crawled away!

Not quite stuck

Since Logan started crawling he loves to crawl through things! Whether it is his exersaucer, a chair, or his walker at Grandma's. He never gets stuck, but sometimes he can't find a way out!

Papa's Antlers

My dad had a picture of Austin with his deer antlers, so we thought only fitting to take one of Logie. He thought it was hilarious when Papa Umlauf would put him so high in the air!

Reading the Paper

Logan's new thing is finding paper and attempting to read. It is really more like spreading them all over and ripping the pages. Since mom and dad don't usually have a newspaper, he searches for Grandma and Grandpa Umlauf's!

Thanksgiving

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving weekend. I am sure you are probably feeling the same as me, you are glad it is over! Now on to Christmas. All of Logan's first Thanksgiving pictures are on my camera, so as soon as they are developed I will be sure and post them. Have a great day!

Proud of Myself

I am so proud of myself. I had a student get sick in my classroom as he was walking to my desk, and I didn't get sick. This may sound so dumb, but for me this is a big deal. I probably shouldn't even be posting something like this, but I was proud of myself.

What a Night!

Ok...so my husband may not be the sharpest tack in the box! After hunting in the rain yesterday he wanted to dry everything in his backpack out. That way he would be ready for his big hunt today. He put almost everything in the dryer, everything that he could anyway. When the dryer stopped, everything was dry except for his gloves.

At this point I am laying in bed ready to go to sleep, but there is a problem....I start to smell something burning so I run into the kitchen where he is laughing. "The dryer finished and the gloves weren't dry," he says, "so I put them in the microwave to finish drying!" This is where the gloves caught on fire! The smart thing to do would have been to start the dryer over, but I guess that thought never occurred. Fortunately our house is in one piece, it just smells like burning fabric!

Celebration Dinner!

Last night mom and dad threw me a celebration dinner. Keith, Cindy, Mom, Dad, Tim and I were all there. We watched a taped version of the Michigan/OSU game. (I wasn't too thrilled....my Purdue game was earlier) We had pizza and celebrated my new contract with Crown Point Christian.

Tim said it best....."It's about time. I love you."

Meaghan's Visit

Yeah! Meaghan came and visited us on Friday and Saturday. She drove up from Indianapolis on Friday night and the four of us (Tim, me, Meaghan, and Logie) went to T.J. Maloney's in Merrillville. Logan had an awful night on Friday...sorry Meaghan! He must have wanted to show her how it could be when Baby Wingate is born.

We spent Saturday afternoon shopping in Highland while Logan spent the afternoon with Grandma. It was so nice to see her again, we definitely wish we lived closer to each other.

First Hair Cut!

Last night Logan got his hair cut for the first time! Mommy was having her hair done at Panache, so Traci cut his bangs and around his ears. He looks like such a little man. He stayed perfectly still while Grandma Umlauf held him. Mommy was too embarressed because her head was full of foil!

Traci with Logan

Such a big boy...showing off his cut!

Visit with Mike

This past weekend Tim was able to go hunting with our friend Mike Swartz, who was in town for the weekend. The three of us had dinner with the Swartz family. As you can see it was an eventful weekend. The bootie boy is Mike's son Garrett!

Go Bears!

8 and 1 baby! Can you believe it! The Chicago Bears are actually 8 and 1. I must admit they didn't look to great in the first half, but then good 'ole Rex came through for us. I don't want to jinx them...but Super Bowl here we come? Maybe Tim is right....is Logie our good luck charm?!

Mooo

On Thursday Logan got to see a baby calf with Grandma and Grandpa Umlauf. They walked to Mr. Norton's house to see him. He has seen a cow before, but to see a calf made him all excited! He was even trying to get him....he probably thought it was a puppy like Zoe!

Answer to Prayer!

As most of you know I will be finishing at my current school on January 12th. From there, we were not sure what was going to happen. Well, today our prayers were answered! Mr. Kramer from Crown Point Christian called and told me that I was approved by both boards for the Computer Education teaching position come January. This is even with a permanent contract. We are so excited we're going to Red Lobster to celebrate tonight! Thanks Keith for helping out!

Our Little Stinker

First we went to Grandma and Grandpa Umlauf's

Then we went to Aunt Cindy and Uncle Keith's house!

Uncle Keith thought it would be funny to see Logie try chocolate. Aunt Cindy didn't think it was so funny!

Then, we went to see Great Grandma and Great Grandpa Wilson.

Halloween

I decided to re-post these since I am a dork when it comes to pictures!
Logan was a little skunk for Halloween. It even said Little Stinker on his butt!
